Kathy Jolly

Kathy Jolly, founder and active partner of Pacific Grace Tax & Accounting, has provided tax and accounting services to Whidbey Island residents since 1987.

She originally moved to Coupeville with her family in 1975. After graduating from Coupeville High School, Kathy attended Skagit Valley College for two years before transferring to the University of Washington, where she earned a BA in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting. She spent several years gaining diverse experience with small CPA firms and as the bookkeeper for LIFE Ministries (now called Asian Access), an interdenominational missions agency. She also spent a year and a half teaching English at a church in Japan through LIFE.

Kathy moved back to Oak Harbor in 1987, joining Bridges & Rodgers Accounting & Tax, where she began establishing client relationships that would last for decades, and eventually bought the business. She became an Enrolled Agent in 1999, passing all four parts of the IRS exam at the first sitting. In 2008, she earned her Accredited Business Accountant and Accredited Tax Advisor credentials. Kathy is passionate about teaching and advising small business owners, deriving great personal satisfaction from clarifying and demystifying for them the often daunting world of regulatory and tax requirements.

She has long been active in the Washington Association of Accountants, serving on their State Board of Directors since 2006, currently as Treasurer. She is also a member of the National Society of Accountants and the Oak Harbor Chamber of Commerce.

A lifelong believer in community service, Kathy served over 10 years on the Advisory Committee for the Office and Technology Department of Skagit Valley College, nearly 10 years as a board member of the local American Red Cross chapter, and over five years as a Girl Scout leader in Coupeville and Oak Harbor.
